Karla Rose was watching the busker play when he offered her his mic and a bashful Karla accepted.
As she began her rendition of a festive poem, she drew the attention of passers-by who were keen to cheer her own.
Proud Kerry-Ann, 26, said: 'I was focused on the video and when she finished everybody started clapping - I didn't realise so many people were there. She was made up, it was so good.'
They were on a trip into the city on Saturday to see the Christmas lights with Karla's two-year-old brother Connor, Kerry-Ann's partner Gerry McLaughlin, 39, and his daughter Karis, seven. Billiard poker table.
Kerry-Ann said: 'There was a busker there and Karla got the opportunity. She was a bit bashful at first but there was a big smile at the end.'
Karla learned the poem at St Columbkille's primary as part of the school's Christmas celebrations.
Kerry-Ann said: 'Her teacher, Catherine McDonald, taught her the poem in Scots and they did a virtual show for all the parents.'
